A magnitude 7.3 earthquake hits the Atlantic, not far from the Venezuelan coast, according to the official website of the European Center for Seismic Seas (EMSC).
The trick was 32 kilometers from the town of Carpano, but the depth was great – the epicenter was 123 kilometers underground. The earthquake hit 160 kilometers west of Port-au-Spane, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago.
The strong earthquake was felt in Venezuela – only in the capital Caracas, which is 600 kilometers from the epicenter, but there are no reports of human losses, a tsunami was not announced, said the FOCUS news agency. The earthquake was "sealed" by television cadres during a government meeting in Caracas in support of Nicholas Maduro.
