Seven people were killed and 14 injured in a road accident near Patti Rangran village on Punjab and Haryana border in Ambala.

The accident took place when drivers of both the cars stopped their vehicles in the middle of the road to check some malfunction in one of the cars.

City Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajit Kumar, said, "Seven persons have died including both the driver and five other who were traveling in the two cars. There were 11 persons in one car and 10 in the another. The accident happened as the cars were parked on the highway, and some heavy vehicle rammed from the rear side."
