A tornado hit Sanremo, a coastal city in northwestern Italy and caused extensive damage, especially in the center of the city.

The force of the wind tore off several windows and roofs. In addition, cars and motorcycles have been hit. According to firefighters, several connections were registered and one woman was slightly injured.
Emergency services are still working out the extent of the damage.
