Three people have died as a result of flash flooding hitting the province of Córdoba.
A man and woman travelling in a four-wheeled drive vehicle were dragged away by a current after the Zóñar lake burst its banks yesterday in Aguilar de la Frontera, whilst a man aged 36 was killed when a wall fell on top of him in Bujalance.
This morning, Guardia Civil officers found the all-terrain vehicle in the lake with a man's body inside.
Suspecting he had not been travelling alone, they continued their search and at 08.20hrs found the body of a woman 200 metres further down the river.
The torrential rain, which started to fall at around 22.00hrs last night, has caused more than 200 major incidents in the province of Córdoba, particularly in the south.
Homes have been flooded out and rail travel has been restricted.
Several people have been rescued from their cars after they became trapped.
