Julen, the only two-year-old boy, fell into a pit in Totálan, Malaga on 13 January, and was found lifeless last Saturday, January 26, after a rescue operation involving more than 300 operatives .

Less than 24 hours after the rescue, another person was killed in a very similar accident after falling into a well in Villanueva del Tabuco, about 60 kilometers from where Julen crashed into the well in Malaga.

According to the newspaper El Español, the man was found dead in a well with his dog.

According to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, in 2006, 510,000 illegal wells were identified from north to south of Spain.

The estimate indicated by Spanish newspapers shows that most of this type of drilling is illegal and the Spanish state has not fined any owner, according to some environmental organizations.
